Western Maine Luthier Exhibition

Come meet Jon and Beau, talk with them about their guitars, guitar building and your next guitar
 
Noted professional luthiers, Beau Chadinha of Stow, Maine and Jon Oliver of Harrison, Maine will be showing and demonstrating their recent works including acoustic and acoustic/electric guitars. Admission is free.
 
About the Luthiers:
 
Beau Chadinha's recent guitars are flat top, steel string OM style cutaways in Cedar, Walnut, Quilted Maple and Ziricote. The organic lines and natural feel of his guitars makes these very attractive players instruments. Beau attended Roberto Venn guitar making school in Phoenix AZ and apprenticed with Michael Bashkan in Fort Collins CO. Jon Oliver's recent guitars include an arched top, thin hollow body acoustic/electric with adjustable sound post designed for changing the guitars tone prior to amplification. His focus is on innovation and craftsmanship. Jon attended the Totness School of Guitar Making in Devon, UK and apprenticed with Jonathan Cooper, violinmaker, in Gorham ME. How do I sign up?
Admission will be available at the door the day of the clinic, but early sign up is advised. Call (603) 356-3562 to get on the list or come by North Conway Music Shop located just North of North Conway Village.
 
Who should attend?
Everyone interested in learning about and having fun with music. Beginners and experienced players, your interest is all that's needed. Call 356-3562 for more info.
 
About The Community Music Series
Founded in 2009 by North Conway Music Shop, The Community Music Series is a workshop/clinic series open to the public. A variety of workshops, clinics, seminars and performances are offered. Past topics have included Drum Kit, Acoustic Guitar Basics, Bagpipe, Didgeridoo, Women's Singing, Bass Guitar. About North Conway Music Shop
North Conway Music Shop is a full service music store offering new and used instruments, accessories, rentals and repairs. We buy and consign instruments of all types, offer certified insurance appraisals, and special order just about anything in the musical world.
Brian Charles, owner, is a Juilliard trained pro musician and composer and in the shop most days. He grew up in New York City and moved to Mount Washington Valley in 1994. He has performed extensively in the United States, Africa, Asia, Middle East and South Pacific. Credits include commercials, soundtracks, recordings and live performances. He is a Yamaha commissioned composer and has been a Buffet Performing Artist. Brian lives in Conway with his wife, Sarah and son, Theo.
